Giro Manoyan, a spokesman for the ARF in Armenia, said today that there is no basis to expect any movement on the Artsakh issue resulting from the upcoming OSCE Summit in Astana on December 1 in Kazakhstan. Mr. Manoyan said that statements recently made by Azerbaijan that it expects positive developments from Astana and that a settlement road map would be signed, are just publicity and an attempt to pressure the Armenian side.

“The day that Azerbaijan accepts the possibility that Karabakh might exists outside the framework of Azerbaijan, is the day we can expect some movement. Otherwise, I believe, that what will be repeated in Astana are the statements heretofore made by the OSCE Foreign Ministers Council and the Minsk Group co-chairs,” Mr. Manoyan said.
