Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today presented the country’s new prime minister, Hovik Abrahamyan, to members of the government at a special cabinet session.

Sargsyan characterized Abrahamyan, who until yesterday served as parliament speaker, as an “individual who enjoys the trust of the majority of parliament MP.”

Abrahamyan thanked the president for expressing confidence in him and said that he would be forming a new government based on individual merit.
