The Dem Em ("I am against") pressure group has designed a template letter to be sent to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan for those who, like them, are opposed to the new mandatory funded pension law.

Dem Em issued the following statement [AM] today:

"Today the executive branch of power of the Republic of Armenia, [represented by] the Government of the Republic of Armenia, clearly violates both Article 3 of the Constitution, according to which the state is limited by fundamental human and civil rights and freedoms as a directly applicable right, and the Constitutional Court ruling. Regardless of an individual's will and discretion, mandatory funded pension payments continue to be illegally levied. 

"In this situation, when the government violates the Constitution and the Constitutional Court's decision, the country's president is obliged to take immediate steps — to ensure the unconditional fulfillment of the requirements of the Constitution and the Constitutional Court ruling days ago.

"With this letter template (in PDF and DOC), each of us, regardless of age, as a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, for whom the Constitution and principles enshrined therein are absolute values, demands from the country's president to ensure the preservation of the Constitution, compelling the executive branch of power to duly execute the RA Constitution and the Constitutional Court ruling."
