Emphasizing the importance of the Upper Lars border crossing to Russian-Armenian trade, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan today telephoned Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov and raised the issue of repairing certain portions of the crossing, located on the Russian-Georgian border, subject to intermittent landslides and blockage due to snow.

At the suggestion of Sokolov, a Russian working group will be created that will study the issue and come up with a set of proposals within the next month.
