The brother of Levon Hayrapetyan, the native Artsakh millionaire arrested the other day at a Moscow Airport on suspicion of being linked to a Russian organized crime syndicate, says the incident was politically motivated, this according to the Stepanakert-based Artsakh Today news center.

According to Artsakh Today, Vladimir Hayrapetyan says he has no doubt that his brother is innocent of all the charges levied against him in the Russian press.

“I have no news from Levon Hayrapetyan since I haven’t been able to get in touch with him personally. My successful brother was not afflicted with a craving to get rich and focused his resources solely towards developing the homeland, and this wasn’t conducive to many,” stated Vladimir Hayrapetyan according to Artsakh Today.
