A 19 year-old soldier died yesterday evening from a gunshot wound to the head in as yet unspecified circumstances at an Armenian army base.

Armenia’s Ministry of Defense reports that the conscript soldier, Vladimir Hayrapetyan, was found dead at the army base.

A criminal investigation based on Article 365 of the RA Criminal Code (Violation of combat duty regulations) has been launched.
