Armenian Soldier Arrested in Investigation of the Death of Another Soldier

Armenia’s Ministry of Defense reports that an Armenian soldier has been arrested in the case of the death of conscript soldier Vladimir Hayrapetyan that occurred on August 28 at an Armenian army base.

The arrested soldier, Simon Mkrtchyan, has been charged based on Article 365 of the RA Criminal Code (Violation of combat duty regulations).

The circumstances surrounding the death of Hayrapetyan are being investigated.
