Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Meet in New York: Discuss Upcoming Paris Meeting of Both Countries' Presidents

On September 23, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, who is in New York as part of the delegation headed by the president of Armenia, who is attending the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, met with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.

Afterwards, the meeting continued with the participation of the Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov.

The ministers and the co-chairs discussed issues related to the process of the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

The OSCE Co-Chairs reaffirmed their determination to exercise joint efforts aimed at a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

The parties discussed preparations for the Paris meeting of the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, initiated by the President of France.

The Co-Chairs noted their willingness to visit the region in October.
