"Invest in Armenia and Make Money", Armenian PM Guarantees Washington DC Community Reps

While in Washington D.C. to attend the annual meetings of the World Bank and the IMF, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan told a group of American-Armenian organizational representatives that Yerevan views greater cooperation with the community as a strategic objective, especially regarding investment in Armenia.

Abrahamyan told the group that his government was extending a hand of cooperation to the community and was putting into place a number of measures designed to facilitate the possibility of profitable investment in Armenia.

The prime minister said his government guarantees such success but didn’t go into details.

Abrahamyan added that his government was doing its “utmost” to alleviate the problems now faced by Armenians in Syria and Iraq.

Turning to the issue of genocide recognition, Abrahamyan stressed that the Armenian government was taking all possible measures to see that justice is done and that the 1915 Genocide is recognized by more world nations.

“I think we must respect the memory of our forefathers not only by taking this struggle to its conclusion, but by strengthening our homeland, by each Armenian putting their talents and potential to the service of the homeland. A stronger Armenia will bring us closer to the victory of obtaining justice,” said the prime minister.

What is even more surreal is that I personally know a few of those in the picture and they know what Robert Davidian has stated above, yet they attended this shame of a meeting. These are not the leaders of the Diaspora, but rather they represent our pain and suffering that we allow them to create for us. The Diaspora needs real leadership that represents our best interests rather than their social status and the chair that they claim to occupy. Shame on everyone of those who attended the meeting and have not publicly denounced the criminal PM who they know belongs behind bars for all the well documented crimes he and his fellow criminals have committed against us. An for those who are thinking about investing, think long and hard about those in the past who have had to deal with the same PM, when he was not holding the top seat and how they not only did they lose money, but some sadly lost their lives. Remember Nazareth Berberian, the Armenian-American from La Canada, who was building a hotel on Northern Avenue next to the defacto-President's brothers competing building. Nazareth had put up bars on the connecting balcony between their building vowing that Levon Sargsyan would never step foot in his building. A couple of weeks later, he was found brutally murdered. It would be safe to say, those who took the blame for the murder are not the ones who murdered Nazareth and I can prove that.
