Armenia’s Minister of Health Armen Muradyan recommended that a new committee be formed to study a pharmaceutical produced in India called DiaZone MR that is being prescribed to diabetics.

The committee was formed after Hetq Online published a series of articles about inappropriate pharmaceuticals being prescribed to patients.

In several articles Hetq Online uncovered the inefficiency of the government to properly examine medications upon procurement. 

The Ministry of Health stated that the matter is still being investigated but could not say when the results would be expected.
