The Artsakh Ministry of Defense reported today that on November 20 it successfully recovered the remains of the three crew members who were killed when their helicopter was shot down on November 12 by Azerbaijan along the Karabakh Line of Contact. 

Ever since the downing of the helicopter, Armenian armed forces were unable to approach the crash site citing constant fire by the Azerbaijani military.

The Artsakh Ministry of Defense said it launched a special operation to get to the downed helicopter.

Artsakh Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan stated that two Azerbaijani soldiers were killed during the operation.

P.S. Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan today posthumously awarded Medals of Bravery to the three crew members of the downed Armenian helicopter.

The crew members are Major Sergey Sahakyan, Senior Lieutenant Sargis Nazaryan, and Lieutenant Azat Sahakyan.
