Several cars belonging to members of Armenia’s opposition Pre-Parliament group were set on fire at dawn yesterday in Yerevan by as yet unknown assailants.

Criminal charges have been launched in the incident involving the Chery Tiggo passenger car belonging to Susanna Melkonyan.

Armenia’s Investigative Committee today stated that Melkonyan’s vehicle is undergoing a battery of scientific tests.

The Shengavit district police precinct of Yerevan has launched an investigation to determine the identity of the person responsible for the crime. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
