The top investigators of Armenian and Russia yesterday signed off on an agreement to create a joint command designed to effectively prosecute all those responsible for the Gyumri killing spree that has left seven dead.

Signing the agreement in Yerevan were Aghvan Hovsepyan and Alexandr Bastrykin, who respectively head the investigative committees of Armenia and Russia.

The joint command will consist of ten representatives of the investigative committees of the two countries, as well as criminologists.  

Bastrykin, who led a delegation to Armenia for consultations on how the case would be prosecuted, returned to Moscow yesterday.
