Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who also serves as president of the country’s chess federation, today welcomed a delegation from the UAE headed by that country’s Chess Federation President Saeed Al Meqbali.

Sargsyan noted that he met yesterday with the UAE’s newly appointed ambassador to Armenia Jassem Mohammed Al Qasem and that the two discussed issues related to Armenia-UAE relations and areas of cooperation, including sports and especially chess.
