Armenia’s Investigative Committee reports that Private Artour Arakelyan died yesterday at the Stepanakert Military Hospital from injuries sustained on April 5 at a military base during a game of football.

The committee says that Arakelyan fell while hanging from a football goalpost and that the bar collapsed, hitting the solider on his head.

Arakelyan is said to have died from hypovolemic shock.
