Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today bade farewell to Tikahito Harada, Japan’s ambassador to Armenia, whose diplomatic posting is coming to an end.

Sargsyan thanked the ambassador for his contributions to strengthening relations between Tokyo and Yerevan, underlying the fact that it was during Harada’s tenure as ambassador that Armenia opened an embassy in Japan.

The Armenian president also thanked the outgoing ambassador for his efforts in organizing Sargsyan’s visit to Japan in 2012.
