The Armenian government today gave the green light for the privatization of HayPost CJSC, the national postal operator if Armenia.

It approved a bill that would include HayPost in List No. 1 "Of companies with State Shares Proposed for Privatization in 2006-2007"

In 2006, the Dutch HayPost Trust Management B.V. was given the responsibility to operate HayPost. 

HayPost currently operates 900 post offices across Armenia, from urban to the most remote rural regions.
