Armenian Apostolic Catholicos Garegin II today met with Seyyed Ali Ghazi Asgar, representative of the Iranian Supreme Leader for pilgrimage affairs, at the Holy See in Etchmiadzin.

Also in attendance was Mohammad Raiesi, Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia.  

The two discussed matters of international and regional concern, and agreed that spiritual/religious institutions on their own and individual nations cannot meet these challenges, underscoring the need for joint efforts.
