Anna Melikian's Film Wins Grand Prize at Kinotavr Film Festival

Baku born Anna Melikian's film "About Love", an anthology of five short stories, won the grand prize on Sunday at the 26th Kinotavr Open Russian film festival.

The annual Kinotavr is the most important Russian film festival and also the world’s largest of national cinema.

Anna and her family relocated to Yerevan in 1988 and moved to Moscow five years later, where she studied at the All-Russian State University of Cinematography.

After her participation at Sundance Film Festival in 2008, where she won the “Directing Award” for World Cinema for "Rusalka", she was listed in the TOP 10 of most perspective film directors by Variety magazine.
