Yerevan’s electricity rate hike protest, which started two days ago and drew a few thousand people to the streets, seems to be fizzling out.
Only 200-300 people were to be seen at the demonstration site early this morning.
It also seemed that the police, in response, pulled back some of its units that confronted a much larger crowd of protesters last night on Baghramyan Street.
Farther up Baghramyan, past the police blockade, lies the presidential palace.
