Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan (photo-right) visited military units stationed along the country’s north-eastern border on August 7 and 8.

Ohanyan, along with other top military brass, inspected ongoing work to fortify frontline positions and made spot checks of army mess halls.

Minister Ohanyan also met with residents and mayors of several frontline communities to get a better understanding of the issues and concerns they have. He told them that the defense of the border was in good hands and that the government was taking all possible measures to ensure their safety.
