Yerevan’s Kentron and Nork-Marash branch of Armenia’s Investigative Committee has launched criminal proceedings regarding the death of Julianna Sargsyan while being treated at the Nork Hospital for Infectious Diseases on August 7.

Charges of medical malpractice (Article 130 of Armenia’s Criminal Code - Failure to implement or improper implementation of professional duties by medical and support personnel) have been levied against the hospital and staff.
