In a Facebook post, the press spokesman for Armenia’s Ministry of Defense writes that Armenian military units foiled two Azerbaijani attempts to infiltrate the border with Armenia last night.

Spokesman Artzroun Hovhannisyan did not specify where the infiltration attempts were made.

Hovhannisyan adds that Azerbaijan has constantly sought to destabilize the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and in areas controlled by the Artsakh Defense Army since the 2015 European Games ended in Baku on June 28.

The spokesman notes that Armenia has warned Azerbaijan on numerous occasions that attempts to resolve the conflict through military means are futile and may lead to unpredictable consequences for the Azerbaijani army.
