Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan told a government session today that despite recent intensified Azerbaijani aggression along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the Karabakh Line of Contact, Armenian military units have the situation well in hand.

“As we predicted, our neighbors will attempt to extract certain political and economic dividends through such intensification,” noted Ohanyan.

The defense minister reiterated previous official statements that Azerbaijani military forces had attempted to infiltrate the border with Armenia for reconnaissance purposes but had been repulsed.
