40 Times More Apricots Warehoused This Year in Armenia
As of August 14, 10,843 tons of fruit have been warehoused and reprocessed in Armenia; substantially up from 1,360 tons collected by the same time last year.
The apricot harvest is dramatically higher this year. As of today, 6,294 tons of apricots have been warehoused; 40 times more than the 157 tons than last year.
Armenia’s Ministry of Agriculture also reports that 5,870 tons of vegetables have been purveyed, of which 4,210 tons are tomatoes. Last year, these numbers were 4,451 and 2,952 respectively.
