A major issue discussed at a recent advisory meeting at Armenia’s Ministry of Education and Science, chaired by Minister Armen Ashotyan, dealt with children not attending school for a variety of reasons.

Minister Ashotyan instructed his staff to compile a list showing the numbers of such children and stressed the importance of cooperating with the country’s provincial governors and mayors, as well as civic organizations active in the field, to locate such children and return them to school.

The minister said solutions must quickly be found to the problems preventing children from receiving a full education as is their right.
