Armenian Public TV reports that it will broadcast upcoming parliamentary debates on a bill designed to make changes to the country’s constitution given the importance of the issue.

The station says it received such a request from National Assembly President Galust Sahakyan.

Coverage will begin today.

Earlier, various opposition MPs had proposed that all commercial TV stations broadcast the hearings. Abrahamyan countered that such a measure would be too costly.
