An Iranian citizen claims he and two friends were robbed on September 6 after bringing two women, posing as ‘ladies of the night’ at Republic Square, to his rented apartment on Yerevan’s Khorentasi Street.

It appears that a gang of three thugs, working with the women, followed the Iranians home and brandishing pistols robbed the men of $350 dollars, a watch, gold chain and cell phone.

Police say they tracked down the women and one of the robbers who denied any wrongdoing. Police have charged all three with banditry.

Police believe the gang has assaulted other tourists as well.
