Iran has agreed to issue a US$2 million grant to construct a natural gas distribution network in Meghri and Agarak, two Armenian communities that border Iran.

The grant stems from a 2011 Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two countries.

Armenia will assume the cost of needed supplies and equipment and customs fees.
