A man has been arrested and charged forthe September 18 murder of Derenik Papyan, the Military Commissar of Armenia’s Tavoush Province, reports Armenia’s Investigative Committee.

According to the report, Papyan was shot in his native village of Movses by A. Mkrdoumyan, another resident of the village.

It appears that Papyan chided Mkrdoumyan, under the influence of alcohol at the time, for his unruly behavior.

Mkrdoumyan then go his hunting rifle and shot Papyan in the neck.
