A delegation led by Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan left for Peking last night and participated in ceremonies at Armenia’s embassy in the Chinese capital today marking the 24th anniversary of Armenian independence.

Diplomats from foreign embassies based in Peking were also present as well as representatives from the Armenian community.

At the embassy, Abrahamyan had a private talk with Chinese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Chen Gopen.

The Armenian delegation consists of Minister of Transportation and Communications Gagik Beglaryan, Minister of the Economy Karen Jshmarityan and Government First Deputy Chief of Staff Gourgen Doumanyan, among others.
