Armenian President Attends Consecration of Holy Martyrs Armenian Catholic Church in Gyumri

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today was in the crowds of hundreds present at the consecration of the Armenian Catholic Holy Martyrs Church in Gyumri.

The ceremony was conducted under the co-presidency of Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, Prefect of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches in the Roman Curia and Armenian Patriarch of Cilicia Krikor Bedros XX Gabroyan (the head of the Armenian Catholic Church).

Papal Nuncio Archbishop Marek Solczyński tread the pastoral message of Bishop of Rome, Pope Francis, and a delegation of bishops from the Armenian Apostolic See of Holy Etchmiadzin delivered the patriarchal blessing   of Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin the Second.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a stone cross commemorating the martyrs has been placed in the center of the church’s courtyard.

Keep building churches, instead of strengthening the country's defences, you morons. Cover the whole land with churches. Run to your churches and burn candles and bless grapes. Who knows, one day God might decide to work some miracle and protect you from the Azeri attacks. (SARCASM) A nation that has not learnt from its own history, deserves to be slaves at best; and that seems to be your future. The 1001 churches of Ani did not stop the fall of the Kingdom in 1045 AD. Nor were they of any use in 1375 AD in Cilicia. Having at times up to four(4) gatoghigos'es doesn't seem to have impressed God either. In 1915, those who listened to the deadbeats called priests ended up as chopped meat. Either God is deaf, maybe blind, and won't hear your theatrics called worship, or something is inherently wrong with your brains. It is as though you have no brains to think with. The level of stupidity and ignorance that you choose to call tradition and hang onto for dear life, is enough to turn off anyone capable of two bits of thinking.
