Citing the words of Anatole France who, in 1916 wrote regarding Armenia, “A people that doesn’t wish to die, will not”, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan welcomed those attending the “Armenian Genocide-100. From Recognition to Compensation” symposium in Yerevan, by saying, “Yes, our people did not die but were reborn and rebuilt its statehood. Today, we demand justice and that assumes serious preparation, including research.”

Sargsyan thanked the symposium organizers, the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and Yerevan State University.
