Tatev Cable Car Has Ferried 430,000 Passengers in Five Years

Since opening five years ago, the Tatev aerial cable car has ferried some 430,000 passengers; 90,000 so far this year.

It’s regarded as the longest two way cable car in the world, transporting passengers over the Vorotan Gorge to the Tatev Monastery high above.

The cable car is also listed in the Guinness Book of Records as taking the shortest time (10 months) to build.
