Restored Diesel Locomotive in Armenia; 1st in 25 Years

For the first time in Armenia in the past 25 years, a restored diesel locomotive will be plying the rails in Armenia.

The locomotive has been delivered to the South Caucasus Railway depot and another 14 are scheduled for refurbishing as well.

South Caucasus Railway reports it has allocated 29 billion drams since 2009 for locomotive and wagon modernization.
