Maria Chekhanovich Nerssesian
My name is Maria, and I am a visual artist living between Montreal (Canada) and Yerevan. I am currently writing my first documentary film about the air pollution in Yerevan and I am very thankful for everything you are doing towards raising awareness on this urgent topic. I would love to know if there are any job openings in the English writing department. I am interested in covering topics related to art and resistance through art, both in Armenia and the diaspora. Here are several ideas I have recently explored: Armenian cultural heritage in Artsakh: the state of monuments, sculptures, and ancient artifacts post-ethnic cleansing. Armenian diasporic art vs. art in Armenia: what are the similarities and differences? Armenian contemporary photography during the Artsakh exodus. Showcasing Armenian artists, both in the diaspora and in Armenia. Armenian art as a form of resistance: a historical overview: poetry, theater, film . I would love to send you writing samples upon request, and here is a link to my website: https://mirichek.com/. Thank you very much! Best regards, Maria
