Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian today hosted Serbian Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić in Yerevan.

While Nalbandian noted the progress that has been made in recent years to strengthen ties between the two countries, he said that much more needs to be done, particularly relating to cooperation in the defense sector.

Minister Gašić told Nalbandian that Serbia regards Armenia as a friendly nation and that it is interested in widening ties between Belgrade and Yerevan.

The Serbian minister thanked Armenia for its principled stance regarding Kosovo. Armenia has not yet officially recognized the independence of Kosovo.
