Minutes ago Yerevan police detained Aram Tarverdyan, who was participating in a sit-down strike in Liberty Square in opposition to the constitutional change process, for unveiling a photo and banner regarding hunger striker Hayk Kyureghyan.

The New Armenia Salvation Front, in a public communiqué, demanded that police present a valid basis for detaining Tarverdyan and called for his immediate release.

Kyureghyan ended his 26 day hunger strike earlier today.
