The Armenian government today agreed to consolidate the Etchmiadzin and Armavir tax departments into one body to be called the Armavir Tax Department.

The same has been done to the tax departments of Kotayk and Nairi, establishing the Kotayk Tax Department.

The government argues that such consolidation will   lead to more efficient usage of resources and cut down on paperwork.
