Armenia’s Investigative Committee (AIC) reports that Sargis Manukyan, a conscript private in the Armenian army, died on March 30 while being rushed to a local hospital after he was found unconscious inside an electrical station located on the military base where he was serving.

The AIC reports that Manukyan had been electrocuted.

A criminal case based on Article 376 of Armenia’s Criminal Code (negligent attitude toward service) has been launched.
