Fierce battles along the Line of Contact separating Artsakh and Azerbaijani military forces are continuing in the southeast and northeast, reports the Artsakh Ministry of Defense.

The ministry says Artsakh forces responded to widespread Azerbaijani shelling launched early this morning by taking counter measures and retook an important outpost in the Talish (Martakert) area previously captured by Azerbaijan.

“Suffering heavy losses, the enemy was pushed back. Two Karabakh soldiers were wounded during military operations,” the ministry communique reads.

The ministry reports that Artsakh forces have been successful along the southern front, destroying two Azerbaijani tanks and one missile launcher.
