
Sargsyan Appoints New National Security Council Head
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today appointed Armen Gevorgyan, a former minister of territorial administration, as secretary of the National Security Council.
This is the second time that Gevorgyan will be serving as the council’s secretary. He held the post from June 2007 to April 2008.
Since October 2015, Gevorgyan was running the Development Initiatives of Armenia charitable foundation.
