''Shahen was kidnapped by police in Gyumri. He was kept in the car of Shirak's Chief Police.

Shahen was going to present Pope Francis that in Armenia, as the first country to adapt Christianity, there are still about 2 dozen  political prisoners.

The security services have wiretapped Shahen, as there was no other possibility to get informed. This cynical behavior is a gross violation of human rights, a person apprehended while walking on the street ...

Freedom for Shahen, freedom for all political prisoners''.

P.S. Shahen is the son on of jailed dissident Shant Haroutyunyan. The political activist attempted to stage a “Revolution of Values” with several followers in November, 2013.
