A 25-year-old man was charged today with the June 24, 2015 stabbing death of an underage female outside the Tavoush village of Verin Karmiraghbyour.

An investigation has revealed that the killer and his victim, both residents of the village, had shared a taxi from the town of Berd. Before reaching Verin Karmiraghbyour, they got out of the cab and started to walk the rest of the way.

Law enforcement state that the man was under the influence of alcohol and wanted to walk to clear his head.

On the way, the two got into argument related to personal matters and the man stabbed the girl several times.

She was found on the side of the road later that day and taken to a local hospital where she died.

The murder investigation is ongoing.
