The following video, released by MP Nikol Pashinyan, shows Pavel Manoukyan, one of the armed group that seized a Yerevan police station earlier today demanding the release of various individuals, including Jirayr Sefilyan, it claims are political prisoners.

The video then shows a Yerevan Deputy Police Chief Valery Osipyan (white shirt) requesting that one of the police hostages, who is feeling unwell, also be released for medical treatment. Manoukyan then rules this out.

Towards the end of the video, one of the armed group says that the current regime seized power in 2008 and that today’s incident is a consequence of that event.

The armed individual then calls on the people to join then, saying that they will not hand themselves over without a fight regardless.

Another member of the armed group says they are waiting for the release of Jirayr Sefilyan and for him to join them.

The unidentified man says the people have the right to regain control of their country.
