Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) says special police units have received no order to storm the police building seized earlier today by a group calling itself Sasna Dzrer (Daredevils of Sasoun).

The NSS statement says that as of 5p.m. local time, the stand-off at the police building continues and that the group still holds hostages.

The NSS says that negotiations are on-going and that law enforcement are trying to convince the armed group members to lay down their arms and release the hostages.
