Artur Petrosyan (photo), a member of the informal social group Art Laboratory, and a friend, were set upon and whisked away in a car soon after midnight as they were walking on Tigran Metz Avenue in Yerevan.

Friends of Petrosyan, a well-known figure in Yerevan’s political and art scene, say they do not know where they were taken.

Hetq tried to contact the police hot line to ascertain whether the two are in police custody, but to no avail.

The attached video, provided Hetq by Narek Sargsyan, shows the car, license plate 34UP673, that drove them away.
