Armenians assembled outside the Armenian Embassy in Athens in a sign of solidarity with the Sasna Dzrer armed group that seized a Yerevan police patrol building on Sunday.

The demonstrators, who regard the armed group as “dedicated heroes and not terrorists”, called their public action “I too am a terrorist.”

The demonstrators said the Sasna Dzrer group had rebelled against the daily arbitrary actions and illegalities sanctioned in Armenia.

They handed a list of demands to embassy staff before dispersing. Their demands included no land concessions in Karabakh, the release of political prisoners in Armenia and individuals recently detained by the Yerevan police, and establishing the rule of law in Armenia.
