Armenia’s Chamber of Advocates has strongly condemned yesterday’s actions of police against demonstrators and journalists, describing them as violations of accepted norms.

The Chamber, in a statement, says that Yerevan police have overstepped their bounds during the past few days by using force and special measures against demonstrators and members of the press.

The Chamber expresses its solidary with the press community and calls on authorities to conduct an objective and comprehensive investigation of such police violations.
