Composer Petrosyan to Rejoin Struggle Against the Regime

Composer Yeghishe Petrosyan, a member of the Anti-Crisis Initiative Council, who was detained on July 30 by Yerevan police on suspicion of fomenting mass public disorder in the Sari Tagh neighborhood the night before and released several days later, says he will return to Liberty Square to continue his protests against the government as soon as he feels better.

Petrosyan had received medical care at the Astghik Medical Center upon being detained and was released three days ago.

The compose is now convalescing at home.

“When my condition stabilizes a bit, I will defiantly return to Liberty Square. I hope to rejoin the struggle in a week. The only thing I ask the people right now is not to neglect any political prisoner and to continue the protests to assist those individuals,” Petrosyan said.
